The Role:
This SEN Teaching Assistant role is based in a welcoming and inclusive primary school seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. The SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with children requiring extra support, making this SEN Teaching Assistant position both rewarding and impactful.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone experienced, proactive, and passionate about SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Deliver targeted interventions as an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Support behaviour and emotional regulation as an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCO as an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Help create an inclusive classroom environment as an SEN Teaching Assistant
Requirements:
- Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role
- Strong understanding of SEND within a SEN Teaching Assistant capacity
- Calm and patient approach expected of an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Ability to build relationships as an SEN Teaching Assistant
