Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with visual impairments? Do you have a deep understanding of their unique needs and a desire to support their educational journey? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

A special needs school in Wandsworth is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing one-on-one or small group support to children with visual impairments, ensuring they receive the individualised attention they need to thrive academically and socially.

Your responsibilities as a teaching assistant will include working closely with the class teacher to implement tailored educational plans, adapting learning materials to suit different visual needs, and providing assistance during practical activities. You will also help create a nurturing and inclusive environment, where all students feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

The school is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in Wandsworth and resources specifically designed to cater to children with visual impairments. We have a talented and experienced staff team who are dedicated to creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment for our students.

To thrive in this teaching assistant role, you should have a genuine passion for working with children with visual impairments. Experience in special needs education and knowledge of assistive technologies would be advantageous but is not essential. We value enthusiasm, empathy, and a willingness to learn and grow. You need a minimum of 3 months UK experience for this role.

If you are ready to make a difference in the lives of children with visual impairments, we would love to hear from you!

Applicants for this teaching assistant role in Wandsworth will be prioritised if they have a DBS on the update service.
