I am working with a great school based in central London that is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant.
This is a full time role starting after the half term break. You will part of the school's larger inclusion team and will have some general TA duties to fulfil, however, the main focus of your position will be supporting an 11 year old boy on a 1:1 basis.
The child has SEMH needs and has trouble regulating his emotions. The school are looking for a patient TA who is going to invest time in this student to win his trust and respect and help him settle into life in the school.
The school's SENCO is really friendly and is open to new ideas and initiatives and is willing offer as much support and help as is needed to help the child get on at school. No particular training is necessary, however, previous experience working with students who have SEMH needs would be a great benefit.
