Reeson Education have a vacancy for a teaching assistant at a well-respected Secondary Special Needs School in Islington working with children with challenging behavior.
Rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, this fantastic School uses a range of innovative teaching methods to help their students make the most of their educational experience. Students have Special Needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and SLD.
The School has extensive grounds and the children are encouraged to do activities such as Football, Basketball and Gardening.
The role starts ASAP and is a full-time, permanent position which has a clear career progression path. The chosen Teaching Assistant will be trained and experienced working with young people with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours.
You must have a calm demeanour and resilient nature and be a positive role model for these young kids.
You will be responsible for holding Outreach sessions with students who are not in school, working with them 1-1 in their homes or the local libraries or learning hubs around Islington.
