SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs - Tower Hamlets
Location: Tower Hamlets (near Mile End Station)
Start Date: 13th April
Contract: Full-time | Summer Term with strong likelihood of extension
Pay: £95-£115 per day

The Role
A well-supported primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision supporting pupils with complex needs from 13th April.
This role involves working closely with pupils who have a range of medical, physical and cognitive needs. The provision is well staffed and structured, allowing each pupil to receive consistent and personalised support throughout the school day.
The class is made up of eight pupils and is supported by a strong staffing team consisting of one teacher and six Teaching Assistants, ensuring a highly collaborative and supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting pupils with complex medical, physical and learning needs
Assisting with personal care where required
Helping pupils access adapted learning activities
Supporting communication, engagement and sensory-based learning
Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience supporting pupils with complex SEN or additional needs
Is calm, patient and highly attentive to pupil wellbeing
Is confident working as part of a large, collaborative support team
Is reliable and committed to providing consistent support
Experience in SEN settings, care roles, or supporting pupils with physical or medical needs would be highly beneficial.
