About the Role
A forward-thinking Lambeth primary school near Brixton Station is seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil in a small SEMH provision based within the main school.
This role is ideal for an SEMH Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting children with emotional regulation needs, trauma-related behaviours, and social communication challenges. You will provide consistent, structured support, helping the pupil to engage with learning while developing positive coping strategies and routines.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking to appoint an SEMH Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
Remains calm, patient, and resilient in demanding situations
Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Understands trauma-informed and restorative approaches
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to apply)
