About the Role
A forward-thinking Tower Hamlets primary school is seeking an Intervention Teaching Assistant to deliver targeted literacy and numeracy support to small groups of Year 4 pupils. The role begins in February, with trial days available beforehand.
As an Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will run structured sessions outside the classroom, focusing on closing gaps in reading comprehension, writing stamina, and core maths skills. Planning materials and assessment guidance will be provided by the class teachers and phase leader.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is keen to appoint an Intervention Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience delivering academic interventions in KS2
Is confident supporting reading, writing, and maths
Can track progress and adapt sessions accordingly
Works well independently and as part of a wider team
