About the Role
A nurturing and inclusive Lambeth primary school near Oval Station is seeking a caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team from January. The school places a strong emphasis on emotional development, early communication, and smooth transitions into formal learning.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will support children with play-based learning, phonics sessions, early number work, and daily routines. You'll work closely with the class teacher and EYFS lead to create a calm, engaging learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience working in EYFS or early childhood settings
Is patient, energetic, and confident supporting young learners
Understands early phonics and child development milestones
Can support personal care and emotional regulation when needed
Works well as part of a close-knit EYFS team
