The Opportunity
A high-achieving and well-structured primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking to appoint a proactive Teaching Assistant to support a busy Year 2 classroom. This role is centred around raising attainment and supporting pupils working just below age-related expectations.
The class has a positive atmosphere but requires a Teaching Assistant who can confidently support learning during independent tasks and maintain high expectations around focus and behaviour.
Your Role Will Include
Supporting whole-class learning alongside the class teacher
Delivering targeted Maths and phonics interventions
Supporting pupils with mild learning difficulties
Encouraging independence and resilience
Assisting with classroom organisation and displays
The Ideal Candidate
Previous KS1 experience
Strong understanding of phonics and early numeracy
Confident managing low-level disruption
Reliable and consistent
Keen to contribute to a structured school environment
