About the Role
A friendly Greenwich primary school is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their Year 1 team. The school prides itself on creating a nurturing, play-led learning environment, and the successful Teaching Assistant will support early literacy, phonics, and social development. You'll work closely with the class teacher, delivering small-group activities and one-to-one learning support.
The role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping young learners build confidence and independence while contributing to a calm and structured classroom.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
Have previous experience supporting children in EYFS or KS1
Be confident delivering phonics and early literacy tasks
Show strong communication, empathy, and organisational skills
Be proactive and able to follow direction as well as use initiative
