Teaching Assistant - KS1 - Primary School - Haringey
A supportive Primary School in Haringey is looking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant to work within KS1. This Teaching Assistant position will involve general classroom support alongside targeted 1:1 intervention work.
The appointed Teaching Assistant will support pupils in Year 1 or Year 2, including children with ASD and ADHD. As a Teaching Assistant, you will help raise attainment, manage behaviour positively, and provide structured support throughout the school day.
Teaching Assistant Duties:
Supporting literacy and numeracy lessons as a Teaching Assistant
Working 1:1 with a pupil with SEND as a Teaching Assistant
Delivering interventions in small groups as a Teaching Assistant
Supporting behaviour regulation strategies as a Teaching Assistant
Assisting with classroom preparation and resources as a Teaching Assistant
Monitoring progress and feeding back to the teacher as a Teaching Assistant
Encouraging pupil independence as a Teaching Assistant
This Teaching Assistant role requires confidence, patience, and prior experience in primary settings.
Applicants must have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through us.
