Teaching Assistant - Year 3 - Autism Support - Tottenham
A supportive Primary School in Tottenham, North London, is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism on a 1:1 basis. This Teaching Assistant role is to start in January and is ideal for someone confident, patient, and experienced in supporting children with ASD.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will help the pupil access learning, manage transitions, and regulate emotions throughout the school day. The school has a strong SEN team and clear behaviour strategies in place to support both pupils and staff.
The Teaching Assistant role includes:
1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism
Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
Implementing strategies from the SENCo and external professionals
Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team
Providing consistent and nurturing support
Requirements:
Experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting Autism
Calm, resilient, and confident approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Location: Tottenham, North London
Start: January
Contract: Long-term
Pay: £85-£100 per day
