Early Years Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential support to children with SEN needs, particularly those with mild autism.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and two other teaching assistants to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Support children's social and emotional development, fostering a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Help monitor and record the progress of each child, ensuring their individual needs are met.

Early Years Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable.
  • CACHE Level 3 qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage with children.
  • A dedicated and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the classroom and provide assistance where needed.
