This SEN Teaching Assistant role requires someone confident, consistent, and well-versed in working with pupils who display behaviours that challenge.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Role Overview:
Act as the 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a child in Year 3 with ASC and associated behavioural needs.
Develop and implement individual behaviour management strategies alongside the school's SENCO.
Provide academic, emotional, and social support throughout the school day, helping the pupil access the curriculum meaningfully.
Liaise regularly with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to ensure continuity of care and progress.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Ideal Profile:
Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or Behaviour Mentor, especially in a primary school setting.
Confident using behaviour intervention techniques and building strong rapport with pupils.
Able to remain calm under pressure and work collaboratively with colleagues.
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply via Reeson Education.
