Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: M14, Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Pay Rate: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Reeson Education is recruiting a reliable and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-organised two-form entry primary school in the M14 area of Manchester. This full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role is to start as soon as possible and will involve working across the whole of Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with varying levels of need.

The successful Teaching Assistant will support children with a range of SEN and lower ability, helping to close gaps and raise attainment across the curriculum, particularly in core subjects. You will also assist the class teacher with delivering learning activities, behaviour support, and maintaining a focused, inclusive classroom environment.

Please do not apply unless you are available for the required hours and fully committed to working Monday to Friday, full-time. Previous UK school-based experience is essential for this Teaching Assistant role.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support across all KS2 year groups (Years 3-6)
* Work with pupils with additional needs, lower ability, and EHCPs
* Support progress in English, Maths, and across the wider curriculum
* Work 1:1, with small groups, and provide in-class support
* Assist the class teacher with planning, behaviour, and classroom organisation
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
* Have recent experience working in a UK primary school (Essential)
* Be confident supporting KS2 pupils and differentiated learning needs
* Be patient, consistent, and proactive in the classroom
* Be a team player with excellent communication skills
* Be committed to a full-time role and able to start ASAP

Teaching Assistant Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
* Right to work in the UK
* References covering the last 2-3 years from school-based settings
* Relevant experience working with KS2 and SEN pupils
