Role: Teaching Assistant

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute break)
Pay: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term (opportunity to go permanent)
Reeson Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in the M23 area. This Teaching Assistant role is based within a dedicated SEND unit supporting pupils with a range of communication and learning needs including SLCN, ASD, and non-verbal communication.
As a Teaching Assistant in this setting, you will play a key role in providing consistency, structure, and emotional support to pupils who benefit from tailored teaching strategies and a calm, nurturing approach. The successful Teaching Assistant will have prior experience supporting pupils with additional needs and will be confident in using visual aids, basic sign support, and other tools to help children access learning.

Key responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant role:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SLCN, ASD, and non-verbal needs

- Working closely with speech and language therapists and the school SENDCO
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and communication skills
- Maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment
